I hope all of you have had a memorable summer with your little ones. I want to introduce you to the Exceptional Children's Council. This is a council within the Ford PTSA. I am Carol Horne, a mother of three boys at Ford Elementary School. One of my children is just the way he is supposed to be, exceptional! He is on the Autism Spectrum. He was diagnosed at age 6, halfway through the first grade. Albert Einstein said, " The only source of knowledge is experience." Every family that cares for an exceptional child has a unique experience. I am inspired each time I meet families who share their story. The Exceptional Children's Council is here and we look forward to an outstanding 2015/16 school year.
